We bought this so we could watch our dvds in bed, there is a 12v cigarette outlet to plug into. Dh expected it to be holding a very small charge after watching two DVDs but it was still holding a 90% charge. I wish I'd had the funds to buy a solar charging unit but maybe later It was well packed and came more quickly than we had expected.

This little generator is what I needed to charge up my battery operated lawn tools. No need to keep going back and forth to an outlet to plug/unplug my gear. I'm using a 100 watt solar panel with it and it's fully charged in a few hours. The real kicker was the built in wireless phone charger.All in all a great value, it works great and keeps me in the yard when I'm working rather than running back and forth to charge batteries.
