When the Ampace Andes 1500 is plugged into the mains, any devices connected will be powered through the grid. If power from the grid stops, the Ampace Andes 1500 automatically switches to its battery supply mode within 20 milliseconds.

The battery unit is very compact and handles easily with the two handles. I charged it quickly on house power. Still waiting for the promised solar panels. Should be here by 22 March. Will test it out more thoroughly after receiving the panels
So I finally “bit the bullet” knowing this was a huge investment, but have been wanting and shopping for a portable solar power solution for a while. After researching and reading other reviews, I decided on the Ampace Andes 1500!! I’m really glad I did!! This thing has a 2,400W output that can run almost anything I throw at it.
It also has fast charging from your wall outlet where you can charge the unit in about 55 min!! I also like the option to connect via Bluetooth OR Wi-Fi for remote operation! The App works great and is simple and easy to control all the feature of the unit. You can set limits for how fast it charges and options for when it turns off automatically, etc.
Andes 1500 boasts an astonishing 5,000 battery cycles!
With 4 of these units you get 120 output to run larger appliances like electric stoves, A/C, dryers, etc. It’s a large investment but its plug-n-play without buying all the devices separately!!

With our electrical grid going down ever more frequently, this is a smart buy for anyone looking to power essentials during a blackout.
I can report that after tested it by running my refrigerator, freezer and a few lights circuits in the house, a am really impressed with it's performance.
The Andes 1500 has a really cool display that shows the input, output and remaining battery life, which is super useful for monitoring the power usage.
I recently purchased 2X200W solar panels and I can report can charge by adding these I can run my essential appliances indefinitely using solar power.
Since I also use this unit in my camper van, I was also very impressed with the quietness of the fans while under load.

The only thing I would like to see is a bit more automation over when the unit charges from the grid... for example when there is a storm in the forecast. I'm sure this will eventually come because they are constantly adding new feature to the app.
