It was defective and had to be returned which was a huge process. Can not talk to anyone. Has to be done with emails and I still haven’t gotten my refund.
Is an almost perfect product. If they allow me to control how much current will be taking from the wall will be perfect. The problem is that is tripping my braker because is taking too much current from the wall. I have 2 of this units in my same room and when the power fail for few minutes they work perfectly but when the power comes back, even disactivating's the X-boost trip my braker. I will like to see an option to control the charging current.
Where we live there are occasional power outages, not too often, we have a generac portable generator that we used in HURRICANE SANDY, we don’t have the budget for for a $12k plus standby system, so looking at the Ampace Andes 1500 seemed like a good option, got it on prime day deals with 3x200 watt solar panels, tried it after fully charging it, was able to power whatever circuits I wanted easily, fridge tv lights, between the solar panels, 12 v and 110 charging could probably run indefinitely, when no sun and no power, can start the portable generator for an hour to charge it, overall it’s a good solution, if anyone is worried about the gas generator, it’s 5 gallons so if needed running it an hour a day the 5 gallons would probably last more then a week, , and the Ampace is much easier to connect, no noise no fumes and can be used inside my house $1699 vs $12k is a nice option that works well for us
