It can, yes. It plugs in the wall and then take over through the wall during a power cut,, The unit stays charged and with any power cut the devices carry on running. It instantly switches to showing how long of a run time is left on battery power by showing it on the screen.
buy the DC power cord for your CPAP machine and this ought to power it for many days (assuming you don't use the humidifier function).
